Practical International Data Management - Branch of the armed forces (army, air force, navy etc.)

In military addresses, a code or string is often used to show in which branch of the armed forces the addressee is service. In France, for example, a sorting code such as NAVAL, AIR or ARM√ČES is used. In United States' military addresses, the place name is replaced with APO to show that the addressee is in the army or FPO for naval addressees.
